More egregiously—the police violence began many hours before the black bloc. You are misrepresenting the causal chain of events. Citations below.

I don't think people have lost their minds. They've been given permission by people in authority to release all of their suppressed feelings, beliefs and emotions, no matter how awful they are. They've been enabled by those in power to show their true colours.
