It's less about making everything balanced/scalable and more about making most systems ignorable without them impacting your preferred playstyle if you refuse to engage with them.

Like with Minecraft how you can just build random stuff and never engage with the Nether/End if you don't want to.

One of the things I want to enable is to allow the player to choose if they just want to look after a single creature or have an entire collection/community of them, I want to enable multiple different styles of play

They all have their own genetic profile as breeding/trait chasing is something I'm wanting to implement, same with decorations and clothes/accessories

Pretty much everything you see here is made entirely with raw control nodes and very few imported textures. It's just lots of panels, margin containers and subviewport containers, so the scene tree gets a bit cramped but if everything is anchored correctly it always scales perfectly

They have goal oriented action planning agents up and running currently, I just need to add more behaviours and activities, but right now they can gather wood stone and gold on their own terms and get to keep a small portion for themselves to buy their own items if they want something
