A fiercely contested battle around the train station which the enemy captured after an aggressive push with their armoured car which mowed down most of a unit.

I had managed to concentrate my firepower on the right flank but lost a unit in the woods and sent another unit in to keep the enemy at bay. Objective contested.

The enemy got skirmishers onto the ruins and held the area against several assaults until I finally got a unit over the pillars and carnage ensued. Objective considered still contested.

My charge failed to reach their artillery while my troops at the bridge are in disarray.

My pike are blocking the road as enemy hand gunners fire volleys down from the bridge.

The enemy has won the battle.

The enemy (red) is over the river and threatening to overwhelm the bridge.
I have managed to advance two units (green) into the enemy rear hoping to trash their artillery (yellow).

My flank support (green) turns up and is all discombobulated trying to deploy while the enemy (red) advances in good order.

And at the other end of the battlefield there is a struggle over the ancient ruins and the grounded boat the Pompejac.

My armoured car comes to rescue?!
My gallant officer successfully escaped the battlefield all by himself unencumbered by troops.
The armoured car drove off, got very pinned, failed to activate and was swarmed by angry soldiers!

Lap 2
The blue truck isin the lead, the KV1 has dropped behind the T34, both the PIVs are in contention.

The back markers are far away and trying to avoid the train.

Several tanks are damaged, the trailing T34 cannot safely play high cards any more.

After lap 1 the blue canvas truck is in the lead followed by a KV1 and some distance behind is a couple of panzers and a T34. The back markers are passing by under the water tower.

Opposing movements, I'm hoping to arrange a murderous cross fire on the right flank.
An enemy machine gun in a house overlooks the temple so I am loathe so enter it.
Our cannons are mostly keeping the open terrain in the centre clear of troops as they avoid being targeted.

Beginning deployment of the British force. I've overloaded the right flank and spread troops thin on the left - there are more victory points for the hill ruin and temple though so my right flank sweep had better work.
