What an incredible (and full-on) three days at #AECongress2025!

On Day 3, I shared insights from my PhD research on compensation and psychological strengths, highlighting the ways strengths may be used by autistic adults to compensate.

My presentation is available here: bit.ly/3IlvHD2

It was great to answer students’ questions about my project as well as those about PhDs more broadly. And it was great to have a whole hour to do so!

If you’re studying at King’s and would like a link to the recording, feel free to send me message!

Yesterday, I presented my ongoing research at the IoPPN’s 2025 Postgraduate Showcase at @kingscollegelondon.bsky.social 🥳

It was great to what everyone is working on here at the IoPPN and to practice for my upcoming oral presentation at @autismeurope.bsky.social in September

Thank you for your question. Terms like compensation, masking, camouflaging and passing highly overlap.

In this survey, we'd be interested in hearing about whichever strategies feel relevant to you, whether related to compensation, masking, camouflaging, masking, etc.

Hello, thank you for your interest. Just to confirm - no, this study is not UK specific. If you have any further questions, please let me know

We know so little about the emotional experiences of #autistic and #ADHD young people who struggle to attend or are excluded from school even though this group is at much higher risk of mental health difficulties and poor life chances. We want to change this.

Delighted to share this new open access article which presents four amazing case studies showcasing coproduction methods in neurodevelopmental research

Lots of people have published theory and there are some useful toolkits too, but its still rare to actually read what people did...

I'm looking for a good book/article that explores theories such as Double Empathy / Monotropism / Spoon Theory with reference to the education context.
