Every violation of truth is not only a sort of suicide in the liar, but is a stab at the health of human society. -Ralph Waldo Emerson
Another unreplicatable Pretorius study w/dubious claims.

Microclots & elevated NETs do not distinguish Long Covid from any other inflammatory condition (cancers, autoimmune diseases, diabetes, *etc, have them).

Pretorius & Co suggesting that these are a Long Covid biomarker/diagnostic is 😒.

Scientists have identified a potential new drug against COVID.

Compound 6 caused SARS-CoV-2 viral proteins to misfold, malfunction, and ultimately, be destroyed and removed by cells, in lab tests.

This work could benefit other viral diseases, too.

Post-Covid Autoimmune Encephalitis (AE)

• AE more severe > Covid vs no Covid (CASE score: 8 vs 5)
• 17% more pneumonia & 14% increase in other autoimmune diseases
• AE relapse > Covid = more autoimmune diseases, tumors, abnormal cranial MRIs, and higher disability levels

"The amyloid-β plaque burden in the brain of patients w/Alzheimer’s is observed in the human retina, which is part of the CNS. The retina is a clinically & visually accessible area of the CNS where one can evaluate Alzheimer’s disease pathophysiology."

SARS-CoV-2 induces Alzheimer’s–related amyloid-𝛃 pathology in ex vivo human retinal explants & retinal organoids

Very small study found:
· Postmortem retinal tissue showed increased amyloid-β plaques compared to controls
· Some amyloid-β plaques contained Spike protein

"How Pandemics Reshape Our Brain" a shameless MECFS FUNDRAISER posing as research. By Mary E. Herman.

🚩 Uses Long Covid to dishonestly inflate ME numbers
🚩 Takes LC research & misapplies it retroactively to ME
🚩 Reduces pwLC to a validation tool for predatory MECFS agendas

Another shit Long Covid study 😩

· 46% had pre-existing conditions before LC
· 20% had pre-existing mental and behavioral disorders
· 36% were on cognitive-affecting medications: benzos, antidepressants, neuroleptics, anxiolytics, soporific, etc.

The researchers admit...

Study finds that ppl w/Long Covid have different neurochemistry than ppl w/MECFS

Authors posit that studies should not mix pwLC & pwME in cohorts, but they may have

Findings suggest the underlying neurobiological mechanisms of Long Covid & MECFS are different

🚮 MECFS Mafia LongCovid study

*Self-Report w/o validation
*Lack of proper controls
*Sample selection bias
*Confounding variables
*Inadequate sample sizes
*Statistical fishing
*Subjective scale w/o validated psychometric properties
*Overstated findings
*No clinical/safety data

The findings suggest that the adult human brain retains more regenerative capacity than previously thought, potentially informing future treatments for neurological conditions.

The study mapped the entire progression from neural stem cells → intermediate progenitor cells → neuroblasts → mature granule neurons, showing this process occurs similarly to what's seen in mice and other mammals.

Groundbreaking research provides definitive evidence that humans can grow new brain cells up to age 78.

Using advanced single-nucleus RNA sequencing and machine learning algorithms, researchers identified proliferating neural progenitor cells in the hippocampus.
