New polling reveals 66% of New Zealanders support a cancer warning label on alcohol products. Similarly in Australia, 72% support health warning labels on alcohol. It's time for mandated health warnings on alcohol products across our 2 countries to empower consumers to make informed choices.

19 April was World Liver Day, a day to raise awareness of liver disease & promote ways to improve liver health. The liver plays a key role in breaking down alcohol. Alcohol use can contribute to liver damage & diseases. It’s time for governments to take more action to reduce alcohol-related harms.

The AIHW has recently released a report on the treatment services Australians received for AOD use in 2023-24. Alcohol remains the leading principal drug of concern for those seeking treatment. It's time for our governments to act and do more to prevent and reduce alcohol-related harm. Read more:
