I love the backstory behind Namulith and Makie's scars, like not all scars can come from being in combat, sometimes you just get them from being dumb

--was heavily influenced by Rilsa, and for her part the Kingpin of Little Calimshan views Es like an annoying younger sibling whom she still respects; she calls her 'kardeşim' (my sister) instead of Little Lady like others in the Guild do). (2/2)

They're so cute and I love the idea of them just celebrating quietly together

--knowledge of healing magic was too limited to do much more than numb the pain. For Rolan, her scars are a reminder of how much Es has sacrificed to try and help others, which in turn motivates him to help her however he can, no matter how much she pretends not to need anyone's help. (4/4)

Rolan knows about her scars & was actually the first person to see them after the fight, since he happened to be near the harbour when they blew up the Foundry and ran after Es when she fled the scene alone. He did his best to heal her himself (in spite of her insisting she was fine), but his--(3/4)

The scars could easily be removed with healing or cosmetic magic, but Es insists on bearing them for the rest of her life as a reminder of all the people she failed to save (including the Gondian who'd burned her in the first place). History might forget them, but she never will (2/4)
