New open access review of 100 studies (18k+ participants): Stress in daily life is mostly self-reported, rarely physiological. Findings are mixed: stress links to both healthier & unhealthier behaviours. Standardised measures & better study quality are needed.

We explored weight-loss & dietary intentions in representative samples from Germany & Austria (N=1,510).

Huge thanks to @lauramkoenig.bsky.social for making the data collection possible!🙏

Infographic showing the results of the representative survey. Weight-loss (57%) and dietary avoidance intentions (i.e., intention to eat less of certain foods; 59%) were more prevalent than dietary approach intentions (i.e., intention to eat more of certain foods; 34%).

At #EHPS2025, @alearuf.bsky.social shared her most recent analyses on reactivity to accelerometer-based measurement of physical activity. There were small significant decreases over time, but these were likely too small for participants to notice. More updates on this soon!
