Say what you want about Wizards of the Coast and how they produce Magic the Gathering, they have some of the coolest Trophy designs. The Black Lotus World Championship trophy is pretty sweet.

There was clearly a lot of effort in making the Octopath Traveler Mobile game into a full console game, but of all the things good with it, the audio and visual quality is a pretty big step down from Octopath 2

Reminder that I am and will always be a hater of the opening for Critical Role C4.

Just finished House on the Cerulean Sea and I think its the book that is the exception to the rule that you need "drama" and conflict for a story to be good. It's wonderfully written, warm and loving (which is basically the point of the story) but basically nothing happens and that fine. #Booksky

Youtube recommended me Gojira performing at the Paris Olympics opening ceremony and I still stand by that if Kendrick isn't part of the LA Olympics Opening ceremony then it fails regardless of whatever happens.

If choosing the Verso ending in Expedition 33 means you are for mass genocide, then if you ever killed a person in a video game means you are a murderer. I don't make the rules of your dumbfuck logic.

Love jennifer English and Ben Starr but Maelles ending can only logically be read as the bad ending and runs away from the central themes of the game

Probably a third through Demonschool this is very much your mileage will vary game because the while the music and art is 10/10 I am really not vibing with how the writing, gameplay and implications of failure, apocalypse. This is 100% a personal critique and not a comment on the quality of the game

Finishing up the Post Game Dungeon and I remember why I didn't like it as much as most. I think it is a narrative success but a gameplay failure. The Dungeon is ass, the boss rush is ass, but everything else is stellar.
Finished the of Persona 5 Royal and between this and P3 Reload its like comparing Colt McCoy to Tom Brady. Like as an NFL QB he was mid at best, but compared all Quarterbacks ever at any stage he would be S tier. Persona 5 Royal does everything so well but compared to Reload it feels not as good.

Over this past year I have been replaying Persona 4 Golden and 5 Royal, since I beat P3Reload last year. I like Persona 3 FES, but Reload makes it basically a perfect persona game that playing 4 and 5 feels like lesser experiences. 4 and 5 have standout moments and characters...

Finished Jade War and I think the series at its best it is amazing but man it is SLOW to get there and there are chapters of "lets explain a lot of marginally useful info to the audience" that really kill the momentum. Its still a good high 3 to low 4 out of 5 but I see why people love it.

I am a certified 007 First Light non-believer but holy shit whoever decided to call the xbox showcase image of a car a "exclusive look" should be fired lol. But really Erosion and Tides of Annihilation are big hits from a pretty mid show. #XboxPartnerShowcase

I understand why people love the Green Bone Saga, but two books in and I can't say I love them. Like when something happens the books are 10/10 but in the down times there is a lot of unintentional talking down to the reader and over explaining, and there is lot of down time #Booksky

Do people who complain about the statement "Sandfall developed Expedition 33" because of outsourcing freak the fuck out when people say "My favorite Miyazaki or Wes Anderson Film?" Because if we are being honest its the exact same thing.

The money i missed out on.
God I wish I bet money on GTA 6 being pushed back to 2026. Rockstar hitting a date has never happened in the history of time and it will never happen. GTA 8 will be delayed no less then 3 times

I might be a future seer
Expedition 33 is already the early frontrunner for GOTY and it isn't even out yet. #XboxDeveloperDirect

A bunch of the expedition 33 hate on the internet is proof that even lefty gamer have shit opinions as well. Its not the same level as openly racists gamer takes, but every time a narrative game is popular its "people like it so it must be horrible and enjoyers should be considered subhuman."
November 17, 2025 at 11:49 PM
The least exciting award for Expedition 33 is the winning the indie award but part of me wants them to win it the most just so the most annoy people on this site who spend hours everyday using mental gymnastics to say that it isn't a indie game.

I just finished Rue Valley and it is a really special game...well visual novel. Using a time loop and a mental health loop as two parts of a whole is genius writing and everything about that aspect of the game is near perfect. It's not perfect and I think the "Disco-like" moniker is wrong but...

Hello, not only do we not use AI we would rather cut off our own arms than do so. Demonschool is 100% human made.

A few hours in and Rue Valley could make my top 5 games this year. I wish for a few QoL stuff and less clunkly mouse and keyboard movement but the writing is just so good and understanding of what its doing. Everyone will have something they'll relate to and this game will be therapy to them.

Sony Japan State of Play thing was incredibly mid to bad. All but Marvel Tokan and Nightreign could just be a blog post.
