Audre Lorde was motivated by that same love and commitment when she kept relevant publications that the library she worked at wouldn’t stock hidden in her desk and gave them to the young people in her community. Audre Lorde loves you and I do too @bklynlibrary 💕

when they took the bold move of inviting all young people to have digital memberships so they could access life-saving books banned in their areas, their staff was living into poet-librarian Audre Lorde’s mandate that we must use the power we have when the fearful try to say we are powerless.
