I’ll admit I’m not too worried about continuity between these movies, but I also didn’t think the civilization killed in Covenant is necessarily the engineers. Just a civilization like them. Part of me would love to have seen Shaw’s journey, but not if that wasn’t what Scott was interested in.

That’s what I loved about Ridley’s prequels. They didn’t try to retread those plots / themes. They go a 3rd route and are about creation.

That’s interesting. Christmas Evil is certainly creepy, but it is so focused on the holiday, and the nostalgia. He just loves Christmas too much. It feels like a sibling to A Christmas Story. Even the way it’s shot. SNDN leaves me cold.
