We're back from #TravConUK, where we had a lot of fun, stayed up way too late, and played lots of #Traveller. Four games in about 30 hours, when I work it out.

Enjoyed all the sessions I played in, and the playtest of our new scenario seemed to go down well. Working on the feedback today.

Prepare jumpdrive for launch, Captain!

We've loaded up the cargo hold with everything we need for #TravConUK and have launched for the jump to Cambridgeshire.

Looking forward to seeing everyone else there again. And mildly nervous about running a game at a con for the first time.

Overthinking? Me? Never!

Of course I need about forty pages of documentation for a three(ish) hour one-shot at #TravConUK! In my (slight) defence I've been writing it so that stuff for the full, publication version, is going in there too, not just the convention game.

Last couple of weeks have been quiet as I've been under the weather. Got a bug which has really slowed me down, and the doc has signed me off work.
Of course I'm stressing about getting the adventure for #travconuk finished.

But hopefully, it'll be all right on the night!

Space Weasel has just returned from what he calls "research" into the next #Traveller bestiary. He even put the air-quotes around the word, so I don't believe him. He just wanted to go and see bats.
Filmed at #ChesterZoo, whose exhibit of, and work with, Seba's and Roderigues bats is excellent.

More books are underway: a spaceship book (with art by Ian Stead), a second volume of the bestiary, and an adventure. There are ideas for other books too, but this is all on top of holding down a day job!

So, why “Space Weasel”? Weasel is a small knitted ferret which - in a complicated way - represents the four pet ferrets that my partner, Kez, and I used to have. He’s a spirit of optimistic weaselly adventure, and accompanies us on holidays and to other fun places. Donning his goldfish bowl

As an author, I’ve had articles published in various gaming and astronomy magazines over the years, as well as having collaborated in minor ways on the writing and publication of a wargame and a roleplaying game.

Vang's Traveller Bestiary, Volume 1 has been updated on @drivethrurpg.com. I've added a bit of text referring to Vang's expedition ship, and added two pages for 'notes'. Actually this is just a way to make sure the page count is a multiple of 4, and therefore better for printing!

Back in the day I made GM screens with cardboard, tape and photocopied charts. Then for online games, they weren't needed. But I'm running my first face-to-face game in many years at #TravConUK in October, so I bought a #Traveller screen as part of the (huge) preparation I'm doing for it.

Space Weasel has had a busy week, preparing for his next mission. He visited some great jet planes, and even took part in a photoshoot for the new books.

We've got three new #Traveller publications on the way - a book of spacehips, a book of beasties, and a new adventure. Watch this space!

Getting rather excited now. I've got about four publications in the works, at various states of completion. If I had more spare time, I'd be closer to getting them completed.
Suddenly tonight, the new bestiary book looks like it's nearly finished. Available on @drivethrurpg.com when it's done.

Mayday... That means Traveller Day, where we remember the Beowulf. And I'm on vacation, away from my real job and getting on with writing up a couple of the next Space Weasel Productions publications. Assisted of course, by Space Weasel himself. I'll have them on @drivethrurpg.com in due course.
