They seem to figure that overpromising & underdelivering got 'em turfed last time, so decided the solution would be underpromising… which won't get them elected in the first place. Well done.

While that'd be briefly satisfying as heck, I don't see it being great voteswise.
Just announce way better policy, get their faces out there, and rub the coalition's noses in every sneaky doodoo they produce (which is a solid 98% of everything they do, I judge)

I visited a grocery distribution centre where all the forklifts were battery-powered. That's how it worked there: battery runs down, head to the pit & swap it out. Seemed very civilised.
