October is ADHD awareness month, and I've not quite settled on how the messaging surrounding it sits with me. I've always felt uncomfortable about awareness days with a hashtag, as how many 'awareness conversations' lead to practical action and change?

Publishing Neurodiversity in the Workplace is still one of the best things I have ever done. Feedback makes all the late nights trying to find the right words very much worthwhile.

I'm starting to get enquiries for podcasts again, which is very exciting, and something I love to do, always leading to some brill conversations.

And don't forget to leave me a review on either Amazon Goodreads or Story Graph. I read them all, and they really do make me smile.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out, bought Neurodiversity In The Workplace, written reviews, had me on your podcasts or radio shows, written articles, and created many different communities to help keep me grounded.

It hasn't been easy, but I'm still here with a book in my hands that has moved so many people, and three weeks into a shiny new job too.
May 28, 2025 at 7:29 PM
I've just sat down to read my latest reviews, and I continue to be overwhelmed by the support and kind words, from both friends and strangers who've cheered me on, whilst I navigated both redundancy and promoting a new book simultaneously.

It's over a year since my book #NeurodiversityInTheWorkplace came out, and the journey that began to unfold was one that I never imagined.

✨ Happy International Women's Day! ✨

I spent today at @womensinstitute.bsky.social #IWD25 event at @beamishmuseum.bsky.social. I was delighted to learn that one of their campaigns is to support autistic and ADHD women and girls.

It appears to be World Book Day, and my first as a published author!

I am deeply proud of this achievement, and so grateful for all of the support I’ve had to get here.

I’ve attached a photo of my cats Biscuit and Amber who really are the best non-judgemental company. 🐈

I'll then edit it all into a video to show the world that inclusion really does matter.

Looking forward to seeing and reading yours ⬇️

⭐Another 5-Star Review for Neurodiversity in the Workplace⭐

🔸 When I was in unsupportive workplaces, I never imagined I’d one day write a book on inclusion
🔸 I never thought I’d truly understand what it feels like to be supported & valued by a line manager

Have you considered the strengths disabled & neurodivergent people can bring to the workplace?

The amount of posts I’ve read from disabled people justifying their existence or seat at the table has broken me. No one should have to fight to have their skills recognised.

It has been a pretty difficult week for disabled and neurodivergent people across the globe.

We need to support each other now more than ever, and find our allies too 🤗

This is your reminder to take some time out for you this weekend.

I continue to be moved by the reviews of ‘Neurodiversity in the Workplace,’ which makes what I do feel meaningful & valued. I wrote my book to contribute to the inclusion conversation about creating & designing accessible & supportive workplaces for neurodivergent folk.

When booking a table at a restaurant, do you ask for a chair?

You expect these basic things to be included in your reservation.

So, why are neurodivergent and disabled people expected to request 'reasonable adjustments?

We should feel included without asking for a chair.

Today I was reflecting on how many people I knew growing up or friends as a teenager/in my 20's who are neurodivergent. I struggled to think of many people who aren't. At the time we didn't know why we understood each other so well. It would only be years later when things would finally make sense.
