Just imagining how much better it would be if ALL news stories about vaccine-preventable illnesses were illustrated with pictures of people with the disease, not pictures of needle injections. If you must show something that people will find scary & unpleasant, make it the disease, not the cure.

Just FYI, here are my personal beliefs on the use of large scale violence.
1. Violence tends to be self-replicating, and so should be avoided as much as possible.

I had a mini panic attack going in to the clinic though. It wasn’t so much fear of results today as it was retreading the same path at the same time of day as I did so much earlier in the year.
I still have a fair bit of discomfort, too, but there’s really not much they can do.

Basically there is an innate joy in sharing experiences you love with kids. I wish our culture had a lot more ways to do that with kids you don’t birth, because all kids need lots of adults to give them lots of safe life experiences, and adults gain a lot from those exchanges too.
