I mean I personally keep skin glue and sutures. Making the call on how to treat a wound takes tons of experience.

I mean, if it’s all a metaphor and you’re trying to convey to your audience that your tough macho alpha male protagonist bro is actually thin skinned and weak, great! We need more realism and to ditch toxic masculinity.

Otherwise, it’s lame. Have someone give them stitches without numbing it up

Bad Trope: BUTTERFLY BANDAGES

We almost NEVER use them

- deep lacerations get stitches
- superficial lacs get skin glue…or a bandaid

We pretty much ONLY use tape for elderly patients with skin tears from their paler-thin skin. It’s too weak to hold sutures

this is the best thread i've seen on this. i've seen that annoying measles graph before showing deaths dropping off BEFORE the vaccine but had no idea cases didn't change until AFTER.

Even though this was one of the deepest dives we’ve done, this is still a pretty superficial review and there is a ton of nuance to management
