I just checked the AGDQ schedule to see when Silksong would be on (because obvs it has to be somewhere) and yeah, not shocked it's the final bonus game to bring in big money at the end 😂

Asked Mamdani for comment on the anti-ICE mobilization that sabotaged a major ICE raid last wkd.

Mamdani described the action as people exercising their free speech, that he looks forward to protecting that right.

He has not previously commented on the community defense.

I should take a walk but it's so cold, so I should go to the gym and walk on the treadmill but I can't tell you how much I don't waaaaaanna.

(This "should" is because it helps manage my stupid joint pain. So like. I genuinely really should. But.)

I woke up from a very long dream about going in to work at an office after a few days off and desperately needing coffee, except there was a line for the coffee maker, and then there were no mugs, and then the coffee pot was gone, and then...

Anyway totally ready to go back to work today for sure.

First real job was at a magazine...which went out of business a year before all the other magazines did so it was still possible to get hired.
Applied to a website b/c of my late 90s/early 00s basic HTML and CSS skills (learned to make Sailor Moon fansites), got hired, stayed in digital forever.

I am pleased with how some pottery things are turning out but I can't share pictures because, you know, Chanukah presents 😀 (This is particularly nice after I've had to pivot to handbuilding because some of my joints decided to stop working this summer so I can't sit at the wheel, SIGH.)

Not to subtweet but it's taken me a bit to work through why I had a kneejerk unhappy reaction to the post going around that's (gently) laughing about someone asking if the fae are open source after reading a few romantasy books.

When I visited Japan last year, I loved being a tourist. I tried to take the tourist home with me to NYC, where I've lived for nearly 20 years. It turns out even my home block is full of beauty and wonder when you look at it with fresh eyes!
People who feel bad at being called tourists are without doubt the most tedious people on earth to get stuck next to on a plane and it isn't close to close
Tourists are an interesting group in that they consistently deny what we all know they are. I can’t think of anything that screams tourist more than reducing each experience down to charm bracelet size and wearing it around. If tourism is your thing, just embrace it!
