I'm aiming for normal evening meal time. All depends on how long it takes these coqs to become tender in their vin bath.
Small gathering today; we can be flexible.

*do something. It usually involves fire, a motorized vehicle, or both. We're in rural Oklahoma. There's enormous scope for dumb and dangerous. Any day now i expect to see this trait expressed in the nephews who are just entering puberty.

Thanksgiving is traditionally when i hear more stories about incredibly dangerous things my husband and his brother did as kids. We've been married 22 years; I'm still hearing new stories. Thanksgiving is also when, traditionally, contemporary FIL, BIL, or husband so something dumb and dangerous.

I filled the freezer with cooked meat, and we ate turkey for MONTHS.

He had to ride that turkey as it died like a bucking bronco. Blood sprayed everywhere.
The dressed bird was much too big for any cooking vessel we owned, so we cooked it in pieces. We took half a breast and a leg to the big family dinner, and I cooked the rest the weekend after.

The first time i raised turkeys for holiday dinners, i got broad-breasted poults from Atwoods in late spring. They were table weight by late summer, but i just kept feeding them. When my husband went to butcher Thanksgiving the turkey it was a much more athletic event than expected.

Oh, i remember the carpeting. I remember my grandma's bathroom with every inch that could be covered in pink shag. I've ripped up a lot of disgusting carpet. That white shag right up to the edge of the tub makes this a horror story.

Is that white _carpet_ all around that bathtub?

Oh no. Teeth crises are no joke. I hope they get that fixed and it heals quickly.

We've got some amount of structural voter suppression, another quantity of self suppression, and broad ignorance about the importance of voting in local and off-year elections.
Conservatives run pilot studies for their worst ideas here and then take them national.

A majority of Oklahomans never vote. Most of our far-right lunatics get elected in the primaries. "Democrat" is an absolutely toxic label in many districts. If one even bothers to run in the general, they'll be such a no-hoper Democratic voters don't see the point of turning out.

I can't even imagine how uncomfortable _eyelashf stubble must be.

Got my son to haul the trike in the pickup to the bike shop. $65 to true the wheel, replace spokes, and make some adjustments, then i needed another ride to town to retrieve it.
Norman is too small a market to support a mobile bike repair, but if i had that option it would've paid for itself.

If they'll come to you to fix flats, that commuter package seems totally worth it.
I had a flat recently. Spent days waiting on a replacement tire, then my husband spent hours putting it on (and trying to replace spokes), and then the wheel was wobbly.
