Learning about this just kind of connected the points, and I got to practice it last night. Hot shower, noise cancelling headphones and a book, for me. And once I'm good, I feel more able to hang out!

World may not be made for us, but we can sure make it easier to navigate by learning.

Since entering office life I often come home and feel not quite a headache, but utter mental fatigue, and painkillers seldom help. But self-care helped a lot. And that's hard when I wanna hang out in folks' streams once I'm free, but you -gotta- care for you.

I think the thing I hate most about mentally exhausting work days is it wears out my defenses and sometimes the gremlins get a little more power.
