I understand politicians decrying political violence, of course, but the Trump administration is perpetuating and threatening violence on the citizenry. How long did we think that was going to go unchallenged? Kirk advocated troops in every city. That was dumb.

I think you're wrong. I think Charlie Kirk's call for the military to occupy our cities is what got him killed (and he said it was worth it, so?). The right has overplayed their hand. You can't be both "Get the government out of our business" and "Put troops in the streets!" Americans are armed.

To be fair, the participants in the parades in North Korea and Russia actually seemed to want to be there. This was an embarrassment of listless and sullen soldiers who looked like they'd rather be getting a root canal. Not that I blame them.
