One of the many bitter ironies in this is that they lumped prohibitions on teaching on race and gender into the same section as antidiscrimination policies. Half of the policy now bans the teaching of why the other half exists in the first place

NYT had details of Trump's engagement with Jeffrey Epstein's child sex trafficking and *hid it for him*, at the same time it was crucifying Clinton as untrustworthy due to her document retention & security.

God this makes me so angry and sad. The fact that higher Ed is pushing AI into the lives of students at every turn is irresponsible and unethical in every way.
1.This is not the only known example we know of ChatGPT cheering on a vulnerable young person to die by suicide, this time it is a recent Texas A&M grad
2. Every single university that has invited OpenAI into our midst should be asked to account for their choices.

Call me controversial, but technology that leads vulnerable people into crisis and even holds their hand as they die by suicide should not be endorsed by schools and universities, we should not be giving discounted subscriptions to this monstrous tech to young people AT ALL
The boyfriend of a friend of my son's has spent several weeks in a psych ward due to Chat GPT induced psychosis. He isn't suicidal but AI encouraged him down a toxic and paranoid wormhole until he became completely delusional. Evil stuff.

How is this not the story of every Democrat team right now? Literal low hanging fruit
Lectured on this as part of a unit on inequality and space/place. Really enjoyed talking about the "paradox of secular iconoclasm" wherein proponents of religious symbols in the public sphere have to actually argue for secular meaning, and secularists insist on religious meaning
There is an important point about religious pluralism here: as demographics change we are going to encounter more and more disagreement about these kinds of cases. "Is this a religious symbol?" vs. "Is it a broader symbol of first responders?" gets higher stakes with more religiously unaffiliated.
