The Fiji coral spawning video has dropped. Son says this is the best spawning in 8 years. Coral normally spawns in the dark of night but this happy reef is so fecund it carries on spawning in the daylight! Give it a like on YouTube if you back marine conservation!

Sense.
The other thing that I take from the #Áras25 debates, is the futility of the entire debate format. The President role won't ever require the incumbent to debate. Instead, it requires them to be able to articulate a compelling vision for the country. Emoter-in-chief.

This is a must-read.

Reform’s base is still predominantly middle-class and its donors the wealthy. But it is rapidly evangelising working class voters.
So much talk about Reform voters, but I'm yet to read much about their lives beyond tropes and excuses ('legitimate concerns').

I've been back in the midlands to interview people and learn more. Here's my piece on them and Reform's attempts to present itself as a community-minded, pro-worker party:

Dave, you trusted me when I told you all your woes are down to immigrants. I need you to trust me again
- How do you mean?
I need you to riot
- But what if I get arrested?
That will make you a patriot
-But
And I’ll write a column about how you’re misunderstood and I was right that riots were coming

Realising that McCartney was considered the 'elder statesman" at Live Aid....he was 43. Phil Collins was 34, Sting 33, Midge Ure 31, Sade 26.
Tonight the UK is divided into:

1. People watching Live Aid and realising that every single act, even the Beach Boys and McCartney, was younger than they are now.

2. People who are too young to remember Live Aid.

Our Federation staff worked with the practice to recover it to a good standard, worked with our member practices to find new partners willing to take it over, and released it with its GMS status intact. It has since been CQC rated as Good.

The GP partnership model is too important to fail.

The very worst outcome of this neighbourhoods work would be for the Trusts or councils to suck them up to try to get to PCN staff and money. That should actively be planned against in any delivery plan. It would be destructive and result in poorer services all around.

Health checks, again, by creating out of core hours capacity, we had the highest % uptake in London last year.

Childhood imms/vaccs. We run weekend clinics to allow working parents the opportunity to bring them in when they're free rather than taking time off work.

We've looked at what services people can't attend in core hours and provide them. For example, working age women requiring smear tests often cannot attend. We allow them the opportunity to get booked in anytime that suits them.

Uptake in our borough is now the highest ever.

What are the important issues for you & your patients?

Francis, the Pope for Everyone
In an era of creeping exclusivity and inequality, his vision for the church was radically simple: everyone belongs.
