In the civil service the disability pay gap stands at 8%.

Whilst the FDA applauds the civil service for choosing to publish their Disability Pay Gap figures voluntarily, employers must engage with unions to improve the working lives of disabled civil servants and remove workplace barriers.

Still getting a good harvest of leeks, winter radish, cabbage, and a kohlrabi (last one - we’d missed it when we harvested them all!)

Elsewhere on the allotment the winter radish/spinach bed is doing ok, as are the leeks. Very excited about the celeriac which is starting to swell up!

We’re on clay - the ground is much too heavy for that much digging!

Our local robin was also pretty excited by our work - lots of worms brought to the surface! Bit of a long range photo but I didn’t want to frighten him off

Excitements of the morning: our superb sweet potato harvest (from only two plants!), nice leeks and winter radishes, and (what a triumph) we got some of the allotment supply of manure before it all ran out. All in all a good morning!

Everyone keep your fingers crossed the fennel comes good (and the badger leaves us at least one fennel bulb) 🦡
