Yoshinori Kitase thinks there are lots of players out there who like to give RPG characters their own name or the name of someone they like. In FF8, the first woman character we meet is Quistis, and if you went and gave her your own girlfriend’s name, you’d be in trouble. [1/2]

FF8 Battle Effect Director Shintaro Takai says the spells “Percent” and “Catastro" were cut for Selphie due to time constraints. Percent was this spell that would have dropped a big weight down from above. [1/2]
