Streetartwall. A mural for the 2019 election was sprayed/painted on a 420 square meter wall in Dresden. In the colors yellow and green and designed like an art nouveau poster, a girl is depicted with a ballot box. She is wearing a shirt and a long-sleeved T-shirt on top of each other and has short curly hair peeking out from under a baseball cap. She is holding a rose in her hand. The other hand is resting on a cardboard box with a slit that reads "In the rage, moan loses his intelligence".
Info: The idea with this huge election poster was to get as many eligible voters as possible to cast a democratic and sustainable vote. The slogan originally came from the Dalai Lama.

Info: The photographer: "This fox family has had a den under an abandoned building in downtown Whitehorse for several years.... They are very curious about people, which sometimes makes it difficult to photograph them. A couple years ago I had a GoPro set up in front of their burrow, and one of the little guys stole it before I could react. If they ever tear this old building down, I'd be so curious to see what they've collected over the years..."

With a friendly look in her eyes, the woman, elegantly dressed in a blue dress with a yellow floral pattern and high brown boots, gazes in the direction of passers-by. A gray striped cat nestles around her neck and she holds a black bird in front of her with both hands. The mural has a positive mood created by the interplay of graceful elements, floral and animal motifs and is reminiscent of Art Nouveau depictions.

Info: Pete McKee (born 1966) is an English cartoonist who tells short stories with minimalistically drawn figures and a colorful "pop art" aesthetic. The mural with the lovers from Sheffield was originally painted for an exhibition in 2013 and has suffered somewhat over the years. Reason enough to freshen it up in 2025 and give Joy a new hairstyle and a new coat.

Photography and art. A color photograph of a sculpture in an exhibition space in Korea, showing two naked, hairless human figures sitting side by side on a brown block and holding hands. They look a little like 1 meter tall dolls, but the figures are both only half, as if they had each been cut in half. Twins split in half. The object, which is interesting in itself, stands in front of a glass front that reveals a view of green, bushy ferns. This confuses the viewer, as one involuntarily wants to complete the two figures in one's mind, as there are clear cuts between the green, the half-human, the green in between, the next half-human and the green again. Both the sculpture and the photo are thought-provoking and that is... Art.

Streetartwall. A fantastic mural based on a comic drawing by Max Cabannes has been installed on the outside wall of a four-storey building on the city wall. The huge mural (120 m²) is painted entirely in shades of blue and shows a girl leaning against the city wall and looking down on the city below. This painted light blue wall connects to the real city wall on the right. The mural shows the view of a town built into the rock on the wall of the house. It incorporates parts of the surroundings, such as roofs and parts of buildings, e.g. the city wall, and continues them in an imaginary view. A wonderfully precise work that extends over several levels and characterizes the cityscape.

Streetartwall. On the beige-colored wall of a tunnel with lots of graffiti, a funny mural with a cheerful cat's head in comic style was sprayed. It appears to be a "naked cat", without fur, with pointed orange ears and nose, blue eyes and a big smile on its face. An orange heart glows next to it and a few blue bubbles float above it. It may not be a masterpiece, but it certainly puts you in a really good mood.

Streetartwall. A very cool mural of a man smoking was sprayed on the red brick exterior wall of a bar in Manchester. The head of a man with a full beard and a smoking cigarette in the corner of his mouth was "drawn" with black spray paint on a white background. In fact, this mural consists of an infinite number of small black lines and is fantastically detailed.
The man with the wrinkles on his forehead looks at the viewer almost hypnotically. (Note: Incidentally, the face strongly resembles that of the artist)
Info: C215 is the artist name of Christian Guémy, a famous French street artist, painter and curator from Paris. He became known for his beautiful cat paintings sprayed with stencils on public walls and has since become an important figure in the French art scene, showered with medals and awards.
