I am not aware of any “centrist groups” urging anyone to abandon trans rights. In some areas of the country right leaning Dems can defeat far right Republicans. It’s common sense to distance from the issue in Southern red states. That’s not an abandonment. That’s pragmatism.

It comes down to each district. It’s all local. We can’t do really meaningful obstruction of Trumps agenda until we win the House or Senate back.

Depends on the state you’re in. I would prefer a moderate Dem in Maine over Susan Collins. A moderate Dem in West Virginia. A moderate Dem in Texas or Florida. Because progressive cannot win there. That’s a sad reality.
