This tweet is not going to help anyone criminally charged with texting while driving, but it will look great in the courtroom, blown up as an exhibit in every products liability case against Tesla.

I have no idea what the US intends to do in Venezuela, but given this admin’s approach to operational security, I have no doubt that Maduro is fully aware of whatever plans there might be…and is probably participating in the Signal chat where decisions are being made.
Are we about to attack Venezuela? I have questions 👇
Not a Latin America specialist, but still kind of amazed at the incoherence of signals coming out of DC amid open-source reporting on flights/airspace and on countries evacuating citizens from Venezuela. Is attacking a live option? What's the offramp/deal for Maduro? Who's in charge of US policy?

Everyone's missing potentially the most interesting thing about this order, which is the judge's finding that Halligan may have returned an indictment that was never presented to the jury

If I was a GOP strategist, I’d be pretty worried about diluting my safe +15 districts into a bunch of +5 gerrymandered districts after tonight.

BREAKING from PP

We found immigration agents have held more than 170 *citizens*

The govt doesn't track citizens held. So we did. We tallied:

Nearly 20 kids, two w/ cancer

More than 20 citizens held for day or more, incommunicado

“Prosecuting former law enforcement officials who investigated the country’s leader is not typical of democracies. It is a hallmark tactic of authoritarian rulers seeking to consolidate power.”
James Comey’s indictment is a trademark tactic of authoritarians
The former FBI director’s indictment breaks a principle that has protected American democracy for 50 years.

I hope the ABA rejects this. We should offer clinical and externship opportunities so students can take more than six credits of experiential learning if they choose. But there’s a lot of doctrine to learn. Law schools aren’t just trade schools. We are educating guardians of rights and liberties.
As the ABA discusses the proposal to double the required number of experiential credits, here's a very informative and timely paper from Chilton, Joy, and Rozema. papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers....

It provides grounds for real skepticism, and so far I have not seen good counter-evidence from the ABA.
