It’s been a slow year over at Anabasis.se but just published this review of Footsore Miniatures Vikings (spoiler: they’re great!).

Painting has been a bit slow lately. Did an experiment with painting black armour with a very dark blue. Looks good but I think I need to darken it down a bit more. Next up in the painting queue is either the start of my Anglo-saxons or the last of my Welsh, can’t decide 🤔

For this weeks #wipwednesday I’m kicking off a #horusheresy project me and some friends have been talking about starting for a long time. I’m actually rubbish at finishing #warhammer stuff so we’ll see how far I get, the first goal is to complete one squad of marines during october!

Anyone played these? Arguing when money talks: Der Söldner. They seem very interesting and unconventional, more like an rpg than a wargame. But I’m having a hard time figuring out how they actually play 😅

Doing some tests for muddy autumn/winter bases. Incredibly those leaves are pretty secure thanks to some gravel and sand fixer (which smells awful unfortunately 😅)

This batch of Vikings (most of the Footsore KS) is done except basing. Planning on taking some photos of these first, both individual and the battle shots I like to do. More on that another day!

Hoping to wrap up the summer-project, napoleonic french, before heading back to work next week. Then I need to finish the shields for the vikings i finished before summer. Then its more vikings and saxons for a few more weeks!
