Exactly. Inflicting pain is something the current admin revels in. At the end of the day, it’s impossible to shame someone who has none.

At the same time, the Trump admin made it quite clear that they were going to scuttle the ship and head for the lifeboats every step of the way. He’d rather blow it all up than appear weak (in his eyes). The Dems managed to squeeze as much out of that as they reasonably could. /2

The ACA subsidy extension was never going to happen. But, making it a large part of the pitch makes it impossible for Republicans to run away from the issue. Did Democrats cave? I don’t think so. This was always about the GOP taking the blame. /1

Nah, too fresh for Bobby McBrainworm. He prefers his roadkill aged a bit.

Sorry to hear that the 'rona got you. I managed to avoid it right up until this past May. It was zero fun. Hope you're back to nominal soon.

Agreed, except for the "he knows better" bit. Generalissimo Bonespurs doesn't know better. He lacks the self awareness and remorse genes necessary.

That sucks. Hope it’s nothing too serious

By using already available hardware to make minor improvements to the platform they can keep dev costs low. Plus they can use the same MCU as the Core One/ Mk4s to help keep everything unified and reduce potential SKUs.

‘Tis a shame. I love mine, but it took swapping the stock hot end out for a Revo Micro to fully unlock its reliability. It wouldn’t be hard to do a micro “nextruder” especially if they were to utilize the E3D Vitamins.

Laguna Beach is nice. Good surfing when the winter storms pick up. 😎

Pssst, former San Diegan here; yes the military has a large presence but no, it’s not a “very conservative” area. There are pockets to be sure, but SD proper and most of the major cities in the county are blue or blue-shifted purple.

OC is… yeah. The only place worse (at least in SoCal) is Huntington Beach. Pity your first visit took you through there. So many nicer places in my home state.

Peaceful, non-belligerent protest IS working, even if it doesn’t always look that way. Tiny Hands wants the escalation, he thrives on chaos. Why feed him what he wants? /2

It’s not clear if he has the legal authority to arrest federal agents performing their designated (albeit reprehensible) task. Everything else is not really a “can he?” it’s really a “should he”. Why give Pres. Clownface any justification at all? /1

While I can appreciate the sentiment, items 2, 4, and 5 are not even a remote possibility unless you want another civil war on your hands. I'd suggest that maybe even item 1 pushes that envelope a bit.

Just to be clear, this is just a first step. I've got quite a way to go to get something functional underway.

I'll try and be as transparent as possible and provide progress updates when I have them.

With smaller tax bases these communities have a hard enough time with the basics. I’d like to see if we can’t do something to make a difference.

Thoughts? Concerns? If you know of anyone who might be interested, feel free to tag and re-post

Specifically creating a charitable group that helps underserved communities with STEAM related resources. Tools, supplies, education assistance, etc.. I’ve definitely seen a need, especially in rural and lower income urban communities for help. /2

I don't disagree. But I also think he's like the comedian that keeps doing a stale bit that was funny... once. He sticks to the hits because he thinks they work, even though they don't because inertia and an inability to admit to mistakes.

One would hope right? I could totally see Intel or Nvidia pulling something shitty, Qualcomm is kind of the joker in the deck though. I'm gonna wait to light my torch and sharpen my pitchfork until it's necessary

I dunno. Gonna have to take a wait and see approach at this point I think.
