For context; ME has cost me c.£200k (lost earnings, savings, lack of pension) personally and destroyed my business, costing it at least £500k. Yet our government continues to shrug its shoulders at taking ANY responsibility or meaningful support.

How do we get an increase in PIP on the agenda? ME & LC are phenomenally expensive - financially ruinous - and with a total absense of clinical support from NHS, private supplements, nutrition and therapies alone take up two thirds of my ESA + PIP.

Yep. In my exp, adding a comment "sorry, brain fog" has almost all ME/LC folk immediately understanding/accepting. It's communicating with people who've not/yet experienced the disease that it's so hard with. Understandably so! When I didn't understand ME I was so hard on myself about such missteps.

So much to feel guilty about when crashed, my main thing is that I can't explain to our two sensitive soul dogs that I'm unwell, not sad or cross at them. It's only marginally easier with humans. One day all of this will be better understood and supported! Surely, Shirley.
