This is the bitter end. Day 30 of the #NoirvemberChallenge: best noir ending. It's a tie between The Breaking Point or Black Gravel.

Day 29 of the ##noirvember challenge: favorite RKO noir. So many, but this one always stood out. CROSSFIRE

Day 26 of the #NoirvemberChallenge - Favorite #NeoNoir

I saw Devil in a Blue Dress in the theaters - a film noir about, and by, the people erased from the classic era. In a better world, every few years Denzel Washington would walk in Easy's shoes again.

Day 24 of the #NoirvemberChallenge - Favorite Film Noir poster.

This is tough. The Czar of Noir dedicated a whole book to the art of the Noir poster. For me, "The Big Heat" gets the not for salacious rage while "Out of the Past" captures the film's mood perfectly.

Day 20 of the #NoirvemberChallenge - Favorite #FilmNoir Gambling Scene.

I'm not going to be terribly imaginative here. It's the opening of Gilda. It also leads to the best dockside meet-cute in #FilmNoir...

This year, the noir hat game caught me. I picked the hat from The Phantom Lady (highdefdiscnews.com/wp-content/u...).

From today's walk around the an artificial lakeland. Not pictured - the crane I saw, dead from a broken neck, half-submerged in the dark water.

Had to head home and cheer myself up with two more episodes of Mr. Scorsese.

Day 15 of the #Noirvemberchallenge - Character you would trust least with your secrets.

Anyone played by Elisha Cook Jr. Especially if he's a hopped up hepcat:

Day 14 of the #NoirvemberChallenge - Who's on the Film Noir Mount Rushmore? If it was my Mount Rushmore, it would be these folks - Charles McGraw & Marie Windsor next to Ida Lupino & Richard Widmark. Noir wouldn't be Noir without them.

Got to get on that hustle early in life. "Now, what did we promise Mommy about leaving rejected manuscripts and bourbon bottles on the stairs?"

Day 12 of the #NoirvemberChallenge - Sexiest Film Noir.

I'm going to go with one most don't think of. Thieves Highway. Why?
Richard Conte. Valentina Cortesa. Tic-Tac-Toe.

Day 7 of the #NoirvemberChallenge - favorite Dan Duryea film. "Too Late for Tears." Lizabeth Scott in one of her best roles. Dan's trademark slap right on the poster. And his moment when he realizes he's caught a rabid tiger by the tail and it's going to eat him.

Day 8 of the #NoirvemberChallenge "Now You're Talking, Noir!" Favorite Line in a Film Noir. Damn impossible challenge. My vote, It's Charles McGraw in Narrow Margin. "Sixty-cent special: Cheap, flashy, strictly poison under the gravy."

Day 6 of the #NoirvemberChallenge - Coolest #FilmNoir character.

Another tough one, but for my money, no one faced their dark fate with more laconic chill than Robert Mitchum as Jeff Bailey/Markham in Out of the Past.

"Build my gallows high, baby."

Today on #NoirvemberChallenge - Day 5: Film Noir You’d Show Someone Whose Never Seen One

Think this is a repeat from last year, but I tested it over Christmas. If I had an intro Noir for someone who wasn't a fan? It's Laura (1944).
