Yes, the town continues to grow. There's a local hospital but more specialized help was medevaced via helicopter 400 miles to the nearest big city.

I grew up in the Alaskan wilderness in the 90s. No internet. No TV. Nothing but ice for hundreds of miles. My house, my school, my friends, my entire world fit in this one photo.

Though world has grown a lot since then, I've never really left.

iPhone 17 Pro in Natural Aluminum
