Went to the Blitz Club exhibition at the Design Museum yesterday. It's pitched as "The Club That Shaped The '80s", and clearly played a part in fomenting a scene - fashion, music, video, writing - and putting certain faces on the map. Felt like a continuation of counter-cultural London in many ways

Stunning, spectacular performance from @danielmarkavery.bsky.social at the Barbican last night. A full-on audio visual assault, with every form of electronica, from thundering drum n bass to the subtlest aural landscapes synthesised and turned up to the max. Outstanding.

Before switching to Adidas in around 1979 they had an Admiral version which doesn't look like much now, but at the time has an air of Detroit Express glamour, at least to my young eyes

New @danielmarkavery.bsky.social album, Tremors, arrived today. A clear musical progression from his earlier albums, with a range of vocalists and collaborators bringing new textures. Quality remains outstanding, possibly my favourite album of the year. Can't wait for Barbican next Saturday.

Well I may not know what the songs are called, or which album they're on, but I keep coming back to the Wedding Present live shows. 40 years of heart-on-sleeve classics, in reverse order, in Stowmarket tonight.

So I see. They've been a bit inconsistent - comfortable 3-1 win last Saturday with 30% possession; same result against Luton on Tuesday, despite 10 changes.
Here's my view - I'm clearly far less hardy than you guys, so have jeans on, three layers on top, plus blanket.
