My brother and I used to be big fans of the show, but the pilot has such a different vibe to the rest of the series. Darker, more dramatic. Sometimes I still think what could have been if we'd gotten THAT show instead.

Also, I loved how they referenced Jonah's "moments of beauty" gesture to Amy from the first episode by showing the glow in the dark stars on the ceiling of their future kids' room.

Amy and Jonah's reunion is a bit rushed, but still thoughtful and sweet. And knowing that the whole Cloud 9 crew stays friends after the store's closing is what you want as a fan. It's a really nice ending.

We got a lot! Mostly Chanterelles, though. Spent hours walking in the woods. By the end, I actually walked by perfectly good Chanterelles without picking them because there were just too many.
I should’ve taken pics of all we gathered in the end, this is just a small portion of it.

I'm watching the new Hurricane Katrina docuseries on Netflix. I obviously knew the storm was bad, but damn..
This part, though, made me laugh. Because the man absolutely hit the nail on the head about the way Bush treated this disaster.
