I'm one of the Uproot and EEIJ fellows this year! Traveling to DC for training and mentorship was amazing. We did a tour of a river that runs south of the city to learn about environmental racism in FC and history of access to outdoor spaces.

I logged on in 2020 after a COVID layoff & a medical emergency. I'd have to lay in bed for hours seeing creatives discussing climate change and environmental justice.
I don't know that I would have become a climate writer without the inspiration there.

It makes me sad that JD Vance will never understand the pure unadulterated joy that I get from enrichment time with my cats.
