Spent all summer trying to capture the actual color of Munstead Wood rose... always too red.
Still not perfect, but yesterday's late afternoon light got a touch of the violet that is so clear in person. So fragrant, and still blooming! ❤️💜

The tea plant is blooming!
Many more flowers, now this plant's getting more sun (neighbor cut back a tree).
Camellia sinensis. 🌱
So far, harvesting about two cups of tea a year.
I minimally process (wilt in sun) some new leaves each Spring and drink it as white tea.
Delicious!

Every morning this little one is there, out back.
Used to be a whole bevy of doves years ago, mourning doves, collared doves, band-tailed pigeons. Now down to random sightings of a few flying in, plus this fella. Usually alone.

They still come up each year, though...
