Pretty sweet, right? Now sure, a “unique recognizable alphanumeric identifier sequence” could mean something like “NCC-1701” instead of a name (actually that’d be a pretty sweet identifier, *I’d* wear that!)...

You see, while all of the attention was on the Illinois v. Trump case, a bunch of journalists, protestors, and others who are ‘similarly situated’ in Illinois quietly filed a lawsuit alleging violation of their 1st Amendment rights by Noem, Bondi, and a bunch of other administration folks.

This *just* in... this is a ruling from the bench, which means not a written order, this is what the judge told the parties *in the courtroom* on the spot!

And speaking of the National Guard, the sworn statement by Illinois Assistant Attorney General Sherief Gaber is a geek’s delight, and warmed this geek’s heart with it’s full-on geekiness (ok ok, you get it.. geek stuff ahead).

It’s always great when you can impeach (that’s the legal term) someone with their own words that go against what they are trying to assert in court.

In other words, the Illinois State Police are fully capable of handling the situation, which suggests that there is *no need* for the National Guard to be there.
