Midwest raised, STL grown. Learning and unlearning and trying to keep being a better human and more myself. Former immigration lawyer and local elected, now with ArchCity Defenders and President of MICA Project Board but this is just me personally.
Oh that's pretty bleak.

Is that a tiny car strapped to the top of a real car? 😀 Never change, #stl.

Also if we can't see the lane striping, or the wildly misplaced reflectors - that keep getting put in before lanes are striped so they're in the middle of lanes - how are the robots going to handle it? Will they snarl on Magnolia at Tower Grove in the too-small painted EB through lane?

I've been listening to tires spinning on ice all morning on our secondary street. Hopefully the warmup gives us some relief today, but I don't know why they wouldn't have gone over routes with salt after they plowed!

I got the advisory text after I saw the "Winter Storm [watch I think]" on I44 MODOT signs on my way into work. Before I left home, I'd seen reports saying the impacts were going to be late afternoon. It is wild that MODOT couldn't mobilize more quickly after that alert 2.5 hours before the snow.

I really wish folks would turn their lights all the way on. Way too many people with their lights off in dangerous conditions, but totally agree on the flashers being harmful if unnecessary.

It started a lot earlier than I expected - was just planning to go home around 3 to get in before the snow. Even MODOT said they weren't expecting the bulk until late afternoon.

Got home pretty easily on I44WB from Downton STL going around 30mph. 44EB is a parking lot all the way back to like Vandeventer. This is a lot of snow for a system that wasn't even supposed to start until 4pm... #stlwx Arsenal at/around 44 looks pretty clear too.

SLMPD has arrived from somewhere, one van struggled its way out. No real movement of trucks yet
