Four demons, Marauder, Impostor, Controller, and Executioner, gather around Traveler, who is tied to a strange root in the ground; Traveler was caught in the Demon Realm and has been captured. Marauder, Controller, and Executioner speak in their native language about what to do with Traveler, while the Impostor just sits and stares at their formsake. it's hard to understand, but the demons' conversation reads as follows: Marauder: "Vjhos, fsoix? Siomsei vtyk, iwuce nusg pxuf mmig vo. Vo jvox, uf eppex yua uf vejx?" Controller: "Nusg ined vo imuj siwivejx ldec vo ttuv." Executioner: "Abesd yua ise? Vo jvox aemq uv vih piwi v'guf ix fpe, tioqud Suvtuqno ipu ijv uvpo imcnyvt ammepog ix?" Controller: "Isugic ipu tojv piit iw'o. 'Traveler' ijv vo mmed aijv, iwuce. i didn't do anything thanksgiving related this year, so here's a thanksgiving-ish drawing from last year that i didn't finish. don't remember if i've shared it before.
i really liked the concept, but it was a bit much for me at the time and i couldn't get myself to finish it.

unfinished scene of Cat, Traveler, Archer, Barbarian, Knight, Tank, and Magi lined up at a table, each (besides Knight) enjoying a meal prepared by Innkeeper. Each of them (besides Knight) has noticeable battle damage of varying degrees. Cat has a raw fish, Traveler has a bowl of soup, Archer has a plate of spaghetti, Barbarian has a large slab of meat, Knight is refusing a meal while Innkeeper looks at him perplexed, Tank has a turkey lettuce and cheese sandwich, and Magi has an unidentifiable bowl of something or other. i don't remember what was supposed to be in it. might be more stew. Knight's still using his older design rather than the updated one.

been thinking about redesigning some of the Trader & Traveler characters. i haven't touched T&T too much recently and some of the older designs are pretty rough.
here's a Nameless concept. (that's her name.)

concept drawing of the new Nameless design. her appearance is mostly the same, but far more practical and detailed. the main difference is that her cloak went from a long piece of fabric draped over her head to actually being wrapped around her body. she also has new shoes and a rope belt. doodle of Nameless without her cloak, showcasing the scars on her face and body. previously, she had hardly any marks on her body, only her face. scene of Nameless listening in on Princess and Traveler talking about her. as a followup to the previous drawing, after hearing a likely rude remark from Princess, Nameless pulls her cloak back over her head, concealing her face.

in terms of like. actual character writing, they're probably some of the more bland characters i've made. but damn if i don't love them for it.

i tried doing something more interesting with my coloring.
i don't really like how it came out, but i decided to let it be and try to finish it anyway.
i feel like it's important to acknowledge these failed experiments, to find some merit to them.

also i have a personal art quota to meet.
