I am a little tired of being yelled at for this but apparently not tired about: heroin addiction is not RFK’s problem. He’s a sociopath. Most addicts aren’t. Honestly, walk into an NA meeting, grab the first person with a few years to be head of HHS and they’d probably do a better job than Bobby.
This is what happens when you put a privileged, 14 year heroin addict in charge of health. Duh

My son’s birth father and I only speak regarding Official Business now, but every so often something comes up that I think I’d enjoy talking to him about. Today that thing is the Casimir Pulaski erasure in the Ken Burns Revolutionary War series. I’m sure he’s penned a letter to Mr. Burns already.

This might be a weird question but what is a normal amount of pain to be in as you reach your 40s-50s? I feel like if my entire body hurts now, they are going to have to just put me under if I live to be elderly or I’ll be screaming all day.

If everything goes as planned, my teen will buy his first car next week, mostly with his own money. He’s being so extra about it & it’s adorable. “Mom, did you know Kurt Cobain drove a Volvo? Mom, guess what kind of car Buzz Aldrin drove?” No coincidence that his (chosen) dad is a big Volvo guy.

While I am more productive on Prednisone because it’s a bit speedy to me, the primary reason for my productivity is probably simply not being in pain all the time.

I love my teen so much and would love to keep him close. But I really wish he’d set his sights beyond the townie university, especially considering that there are many universities that meet 100% of financial aid needs now. Student loans are bullshit.

I like the *idea* of playing with a band. What I don’t like is these guys, at least where I live, who have an “idea” and want to come over and like…have instrument practice? Or book shows/recording time with no songs? No. On the flip side, I rework everything until it ends up in The Pile.
