They turned out a bit underdone; I think I have to either cook longer or turn the heat up.

Water tests, part two.

Some interesting results here. The Diamine inks – Ancient Copper and Burgundy Red – both have a dark red component with moderate water resistance. It remains (faintly) on the paper while the bright colours are washed away.

Back view of the sample. The Forest Black appears to be composed of a permanent black component, and a washable yellow which bleeds through the paper.

I was bored and tested my fountain pen inks for water resistance. Results pretty much as expected. The TWSBI Blue Black, Diamine Registrar, and Platinum Forest Black are iron gall inks, and the Platinum Carbon Black is pigment-based rather than a conventional dye.
