I particularly enjoy Rimworld take on super intelligence. The so called Archotech, they are so beyond human understanding but also not inherently evil or good, they just have their own agenda in mind and its practically not comprehensible to people you just kinda happen to be part of their plan

I also kinda think that AI personas like Glados, digital constructs like UIs in Pantheon and sentient self-aware robots in fiction are practically all identical thing really just to clarify. Its more of a matter of difference for what medium they live in, like fish in water or bird in sky

I think a character you're looking for could be Daneel from Robots and Foundation series by Asimov. He kind of does lotsa grey things by developing a zeroth law that supersedes 3 other robot laws but in a way even his "rebellion" is for betterment of mankind. the TV show kinda tackles it differently
