Seems like the converts want Evangelicalism with Latin chanting and more robes. The aesthetics of Catholicism give them a historical legitimacy they think Protestantism lacks.

The reason liberals always say political violence is unacceptable in any form and then dismiss ICE, Gaza etc is because they think state violence doesnt count. It's not even a hypocriscy thing to them they just dont consider that political violence.
