.. ... it doesn't support drafts. Moshidon supports drafts. whyyyyy does Mastodon not support drafts, do these devs actually use their own app? or am I crazy and aren't these actually desired features? welp, Moshidon it is then

companies don't immediately start digging a hole to the core of the planet in response to gently worded valid concerns challenge (im-fucking-possible it would appear)

ohh haha actually it does support multiple accounts now, hh, I had to install the Moshidon app to figure it out, but you just hold your profile picture for a few seconds .. istg apps are becoming more and more puzzle games over time.

now I'm unsure if I should use Moshi, honestly the official […]

is there really no way to get multiple profiles working in the official mastodon app? that kinda sucks, I guess I'll go back to Tusky then? why is it so hard to get software that ticks all the boxes and not just some with glitter, i don't care about the glitter, but yea i guess everyone has […]

[RE: 'asking permission would kill AI industry']

This is not even true, there are multiple fully opensource datasets that are produced entirely out of materials given with explicit consent, and they could just set up a platform where they pay for people submitting content for pay; this is […]

[politics]

I don't want to start a fight in someone else's post but, I saw someone post "I don't care about your regret";

I do care about regret.

I'd much rather people regret something than double down on it despite knowing it's a bad idea, just because the other team is being too toxic to […]

[software politics]

hot take: the software you use and like isn't political, and providing universal indiscriminate support is also completely fine.

Where it goes wrong is when you start sending aid and money to parties that, regardless of what they are, support or hold moral views that clash […]

[eupol]

ever since the drone incidents in europe, all remotely large looking drones are now somehow russian drones, and it's kinda tiring to watch the media seemingly agreeing with this narrative

@volpeon i propose an SI unit for eepiness

for example you could have one (1) kiloEepy (kE), or perhaps one ME (Mega Eepy) if you're all tuckered out and in bed :dragon_blanketsleep:

@mntmn they both look very neat! I really wouldn't mind having the small version..

can I ask a potentially stupid question though? i couldn't find anything about it on the website, but are there any plans for a more budget-friendly option? the milled aluminium case and mech keyboard look […]

I really appreciate how repairable the 90s miele 'novo stellae' washing machine I have, the frontside is LITERALLY a door, with hinges and all, you just remove 6 screws and it kinda click/slides open (does need some force)

now to replace the shocks, which […]

to the few "I don't want bluesky people here they're toxic and bad" voices I see floating around:

please don't get me wrong, but please realize how toxic and bad (and honestly kinda bigoted/prejudiced) saying something like that that makes you look ..

I understand it's scary to see a community […]

note that, if you consider buying this, consider that:
- you won't support the official Flipper dev team if you buy the bootleg variant
- there's many bugs and issues because it's a slightly different set of hardware than the original despite running roughly the same firmware
- the case on mine […]

@chirpbirb haven't tried yet, but wouldn't be surprised if it does work. it seems to be roughly hardware-compatible, albeit with some changes (similar to the existing mods like the RGB LED and the BMI160 GPIO hat).

Currently it runs the 'Momentum' firmware it seems, although not sure if it's in […]

egads! it's real!

Meet the #geekzero , a chinese bootleg #flipperzero with a bunch of extra bits and pieces that the original one doesn't have:
- HAL/magnetic field sensor
- a magnet
- Bosch BMI160 IMU/gyroscope
- MMCX (I think) external antenna connector […]

the GeekZero in its cheap plastic packaging, shipping label and product sticker still on. the GeekZero is a black square device, similar to the Flipper, but entirely rectangular. an up close view of the GeekZero's casing, showing the clearly 3D-printed buttons and side and shiny plastic glued-on front plate.
the shiny glued-on backplate, with white-on-black text showing the GPIO pinout, NFC antenna location, and a cutout for the MMCX antenna connector The GeekZero running and connected to a charger, with the battery stats on the backlit blueish-white display.
note that it says "charged" and isn't charging, despite only being at 71% / 4.1V. typical bootleg stuff I guess! but it definitely works
