A shiny fresh snip, because the only 'belong' I had before this was the one I'd previously shared for 'crystal' (not even that long ago!). Curse my slow writing.
Ghosted WIPSnips: Belong He subsided into silence, fingers tangling into the thick fabric of Gabe’s shirt. He’d never had a problem with the dark. It was usually a time of warmth and comfort, in his apartment or at his parents’ home, a drink in one hand, watching the stars through the window. This was not a comforting darkness. This darkness categorically rejected him, insisted he did not belong in it. His hands were colder than they’d been outside, his toes tingled in his sneakers. Gabe’s body heat was the hot, bright spot in the whole nightmare. Suddenly, being alone in the light was infinitely preferable, not here. It was cold, so cold, his fingers were prickling and every breath felt like he was inhaling shadow and oh God he hadn’t had a panic attack since uni— A sharp cone of light cut through the dark; Jude jerked his hand up to his eyes, squinted against it.

No Children (Part 2) - Gator Days Transcript Panel 1 August was called into work for an emergency and he's asked his co-worker, Iris, to watch his son while he deals with the crisis. She begrudgingly agrees, but is not enthusiastic about having to watch a child. Gustopher has found a random photo and is asking about it. Gustopher: Who is this? Iris: My husband. Gustopher: Any pictures of your kids? Iris: We don't have any. Panel 2 Gustopher finds this odd. He thought everyone had kids when they got married. Gustopher: Why? Iris: Because I eat kids who ask too many questions. Panel 3 Gustopher knows that adults are joking when they say stuff like but can't help but feel that Iris sounded too serious when she said it. He look back to see her sipping menacingly from a mug that says "BOAR FACE". Panel 4 Gustopher: I can't tell if you're joking. Iris: Me too.

Wildlife tracking! I'm reposting things I made this past year. If you look closely at the deer tracks you'll see I added the hint that they're double registering (hind foot is stepping into the same spot as front foot).

But ya looks like good soup. The first and hardest lesson to learn for budding smut writers, or people who just want a sex scene, is that sex IS cringe. It is embarrassing, and messy, and it'll make you say wacky shit.

But you cannot fuck ironically. So when you write sex, you MUST be earnest.
