Last night I met someone who said that they never vote in federal elections because only local elections really matter. They didn’t realize that the election for the next Mayor of Philadelphia is this Tuesday.

Today I saw two of my clients in person and my old boss. We held a press conference calling on the PA legislature to raise the wage from $7.25 to $15 and end preemption. Philadelphia is unable to set a living wage for local works because of this arcane law.
