That 11 years: it was only Groningen for a long while though (spellenmaakgilde.net), I still remember I got only friends to come over or evenings were we were with 3 participants, me included. Now that long past with 25-35 participants each session, including a lot of folks joining as playtesters❤️

The Game Design Guild in the Netherlands 'Spellenmaakgilde' is now running for 11 years!

Mainly playtesting events, community events, facilitated author tables at convention. And some XXL events where we do see some publishers coming over scouting new games.

Finally listened to this episode, was cool to hear Groningen being mentioned. That is Netherlands though, not Germany. I think Dominic might refer to the @sazpresse.bsky.social who took over the organisation of the Game Designer Convention in Göttingen (I checked: 44th one next spring, whoa).

Not right, but i would place the title bigger on the bottom (and perhaps with the letters being more elaborate e.g. made out of branches or bug in it)

Air con here also now used for heating. (Heat pump would be more efficient) Sure it takes a lot of kwh, but burning gas (default way in NL) is soooo inefficiënt.
