Storybook time at Barnes & Noble in Rochester yesterday!

I'm so excited to share that my book launch will be happening at my local Rochester, NY independent book store, Hippocampo.

A beautiful new biography about a determined and powerful woman written by my dear writer friend, Vivian Kirkfield. Great for girls and boys!

My first class presentation of CALL ME GEBYANESH at a Temple Sinai 3d grade class. We talked about feeling different, standing up for yourself and others, and the meaning and significance of names. We drew identity maps. Wonderful class of engaged kids!

A few weeks ago, Gebby—co-author and subject of our book, CALL ME GEBYANESH—visited me in Rochester following a student ambassador trip to Toronto!! We had so much fun visiting a local farm market and seeing the Rochester City Ballet perform at the Fringe Festival.
