I understand that as a government employee it's the estate manager's job to save govt money but the repairs are literally covered by the building insurance. the council didn't pay anything. I don't know why it took three months of very persistent emails and phone calls for him to call them. oh well

we only actually wanted the warped floor in our living room replaced but after finally strong arming the estate manager to actually send an insurance appraiser he was immediately like "yeah you can get it all replaced it's all full of mould" so now everything is new wheeee
