No, I told them it should be a reply on the list for transparency. But TLDR, PEAR is mostly not to do with PHP, apart from the domain name, so the consensus was that the RFC process wasn't the correct way to tackle this particular thing.

The Online Safety Act (law passed in UK in 2023) has come into effect, requiring "adult content" to be age gated. Notably, pornographic websites, but also affecting other things like Bluesky DMs, Discord ("18+" channels), Reddit, and other things. Next up: UK gov want a backdoor in encryption 🤣😭

The Online Safety Act is terrible for privacy. This is not just about pornography, it has wide over-reach into all our digital lives. It is authoritarian, and literally embodies parts of an Orwellian 1984 - except this is reality, not just a dystopian novel.

🥧 I've been a little quiet recently, been working on a new feature to make some of the "bundled" PHP exts available in PIE. The POC is working, but needs polishing. There are potential pitfalls though, such as extensions getting out of sync with your PHP version! #phppie #thephpfoundation #pie #phpc
